Quote of the day: February 28th, 2005

"He found the origin of the posthumous twins who gave up deciphering the parchments, not simply through incapacity and lack of drive, but also because their attempts were premature."

-One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Good book. The quote would make sense if you read it.

This basically sums it up:

Me. Looking sexier than usual, no?

The panties were a gift from Jennie, the tattoo, mine.

Quite possibly the coolest cake ever

Yes, this is my birthday cake. Yes, it's Elvis.

Quote of My Birthday:

I'm posting early before this day has time to go to hell. Today is the anniversary of the worst day of my life to date, which is a sad thing to be able to say. But I feel better about this year. No neurotic stalkee boyfriends anymore.

"Make a wish, and see yourself on stage, inside out.
A tangle of garlands in your hair.
Of course you are pleasantly surprised. "

Principal Snyder: There're some things I can just smell. It's like a sixth sense.
Giles: No, actually that would be one of the five.

It's Official:

It's official. We have the deposit in and everything. Appointment is made, I've met the artist, and it's all set.

I'm talking about the tattoo I'm getting.

For my birthday, which is soon.

WE are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams...

Quote of the day: February 24th, 2005

"Have another drink and drive yourself home,
I hope there's ice on all the roads,
And you can think of me when you forget your seatbelt,
And again when your head goes through the windshield..."

-Brand New (Seventy Times 7)

(Sorry, I'm just not feeling that optimistic today.)

Quote of the Day: February 23rd, 2005

"Sexy Emo: I think I need to cry. The world will never understand things like we do. No one understands our pain. We shall die alone in each others arms."

Quote of the day: February 22nd, 2005

"I wept as I remembered how often you and I had tired the sun with talking and sent him down the sky. "

Quote of the Day: February 21st, 2005

"Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping, waiting, and though unwanted, unbidden, it will stir, open its jaws, and howl. It speaks to us, guides us. Passion rules us all, and we obey. What other choice do we have? Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love, the clarity of hatred, and the ecstasy of grief. It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank. Without passion, we'd be truly dead ."

Quote of the day: February 20th, 2005

"I have researched the magical shapes of the happiness no one escapes."

This movie is about one of the most amazing poets, not in terms of the poetry he created, but just his general lifestyle and personality. I have a great deal of respect for him.

PS- I really really love this movie. It is beautiful and poetic and twisted and somber and joyful and witty and nostalgic and crude, and proper, and everything a wonderful movie should be.

Quote of the Day: February 19th, 2005

"In memory, everything seems to happen to music. "

-Tennessee Williams

Quote of the Day: February 18th, 2005

"It is clear that I must find my other half, but is it a he or a she? What does this person look like? Identical to me, or somehow... complementary? Does my other half have what I don't? Did he get the looks? The luck? The love? Were we really separated forcibly or did he just run of with the good stuff? Or did I? What about sex? Is that how we put ourselves back together again? Or can two people actually become one... again..."

Sexier than RENT-

You have come here
In pursuit of your deepest urge,
In pursuit of that wish, which till now has been silent,
Silent...
I have brought you,
That our passions may fuse and merge -
In your mind, you've already succumbed to me,
Dropped all defenses, completely succumbed to me -
Now you are here with me:
No second thoughts,
You've decided,
Decided...
Past the point of no return -
No backward glances:
The games we've played till now are at an end...
Past all thought of "if" or "when" -
No use resisting:
Abandon thought, and let the dream descend...
What raging fire shall flood the soul?
What rich desire unlocks its door?
What sweet seduction lies before us ?
Past the point of no return,
The final threshold -
What warm, unspoken secrets will we learn
Beyond the point of no return?

p.s.--

I love the conversations that we have in subtext. Those mysterious ones, where I don't know if you know that when I say I miss you what I really mean is more complicated than words. I don't know if what you say is what you mean, or what I mean, or something else. It never really was what we meant, when we said what we did. Or maybe it was more than we could imagine, what we felt when we said what we did.
When I say goodnight, I really hope you'll dream of me.

p.s. I hope that post was as confusing as what I feel.

Quote of the (valentine's) Day:

"Whatever dulls your conscience,
Whoever lights your darkness,
I hope it makes you happy..."

-Closure: Whatever Made You

Valentine's day is just another day to remind me of how alone I am. Things of a romantic nature rarely work out for me, and when they do, they end quickly and leave me even more distraught than I was before they started. Stability of that nature doesn't exist for me, it really never has. I suppose that is mostly due to my own neurotic issues. Anyways, Valentine's day is silly, and it depresses me. People are silly. Nothing ever is as good as you are expecting it to be.

My Best Friend.

Dream in Disguise

Jeremy from No Motiv. Taken Velentines Day, 2004

Fred

There is just something about this picture that I love. I think it's the lighting on his face, and the expression.

P.S. Comment from Claire- "That guy is really hot."

Photos. I love them.

Tom's Shakespeare Album!

p.s- I and Drew took most of these photos.

Quote of the day: February 13th, 2005

"It still seemed simple and incomprehensible to him: simple that things should be right, and incomprehensible that they weren't."
